Gracefield Arts Centre is one of Dumfries & Galloways' most familiar and well-loved art and craft spaces and it is over half a century since the gallery and the permanent collection, principally consisting of Scottish paintings, came in to being

the main gallery building, Gallery 1, was bought in 1951 when a committee of local folks were responsible for raising the money needed to buy the property and perform the alterations that changed the former house, ‘Gracefield’ into the art gallery

Exhibitions, events, workshops and children’s activities:
a wide range of art and craft activities and art and craft workshops for adults and children run throughout the year at the gallery. You can  download the current programme for Gracefield by clicking here
