Gracefield Arts Centre is home to over 600 original Scottish paintings & other artworks in our permanent collection, parts of the which are displayed in curated temporary exhibitions throughout the year

Gracefield Arts Centre rotates a dynamic programme of art and craft exhibitions throughout the year with regional, national and International artists represented. Gracefield aims to cater to the tastes of the local community, as well as to visitors to our wonderful region of south west Scotland

Gracefield Arts Centre is one of Dumfries & Galloways' most familiar and well-loved art and craft spaces and it is over half a century since the gallery and the permanent collection, principally consisting of Scottish paintings, came in to being the main gallery building, Gallery 1, was bought in 1951 when a committee of local folks were responsible for raising the money needed to buy the property and perform the alterations that changed the former house, ‘Gracefield’ into the art gallery

Facilities

Facilities at the arts centre include the Craft & Gift Shop, Cafe Hubbub & a printmakers workshop and studio. Meeting rooms are also available for hire which include 3 large studio rooms available to hire for lectures, art & craft activities, hospitality events & community activities. Room hire rates begin at £5.60 per hour


Schools, other groups and clubs are welcome to bring groups to Gracefield during regular opening hours and can pre-book to visit on a Monday. Gracefield Staff can offer informal guided tours upon request, and where diary space permits, can offer workshop space for art activities

Café Refresh: Tuesday - Saturday, 10am - 3:30pm, lunches 12 noon - 3pm

printmaking studio: Monday - Saturday, 10am-5pm and evenings depending on studio diary
membership is surprisingly economical at £18 for 6 months or £30 per annum with further details available by dropping in to the Gracefield or by telephone on 01387 262084
